While&nbsp;the&nbsp;competition&nbsp;is&nbsp;heating&nbsp;up&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;Mexican&nbsp;restaurant&nbsp;franchise space and many restaurants are struggling to increase same-store sales and traffic, Del Taco is continuing their growth&nbsp;for the 12th straight quarter. According to a <a href="http://nrn.com/finance/del-taco-same-store-sales-jump-67?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-del-taco-same-store-sales-jump-67-6660" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">recent Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News article</a>, Del Taco Restaurants Inc. announced that its same-store sales increased 6.7 percent, traffic rose 2.3 percent, and the average check increased 4.8 percent all in the third quarter.

Executives from the company are crediting the higher-end products that have been added to the chain&rsquo;s menu for the success. &ldquo;Through the use of fresh ingredients and product innovation served with the speed and convenience of a drive-thru, we are further differentiating our iconic brand and broadening our appeal,&rdquo; CEO Paul Murphy said in a statement.

The brand plans to start looking for&nbsp;new franchisees in order to accelerate development and growth. Currently with 546 units, revenue rose to $98.6 million this quarter, a 5.9 percent jump from the last.
