Nation's Restaurant News: Dunkin’ Donuts tests online catering in four states

The new initiative is just one of the many digitals enhancements for the donut franchise.

A recent Nation's Restaurant News article reported that Dunkin' Donuts will be testing online catering orders in 16 locations. Thee bundle options will be available for parties of 10 or 20 ranging from $30 to $96 in Massachusetts, Vermont, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

Sherrill Kaplan, vice president of digital innovation, said the party packs are geared for business and family gatherings. “The launch of our new DD Catering test in select Northeast locations will make it easier for our customers to serve the brand’s signature coffee, doughnuts, beverages and baked goods to a group at any function, party or office meeting,” Kaplan said in a statement.

The brand plans to collect feedback from franchisees and customers to determine if this will be a permanent offering for all stores.

This initiative comes after the franchise expanded its “On-the-Go Mobile Ordering” platform to include voice ordering through Google Assistant as the donut brand continues to focus on enhancing their digital presence.
