Restaurants close up shop and reinforce their windows in preparation for the storm.

Restaurants are feeling the impact of Hurricane Irma. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, business owners are not only losing income--they're also losing sleep over the stress of the storm.

While several restaurants have prepared meals to help out their local communities following the storm, they closed up shop over the weekend and reinforced their windows.

“Our feeling is that it’s better to be safe than sorry. Money is not worth risking anyone’s safety or the long-term viability of the business,” said Andrew McCoski, owner of Florida based restaurant Chiringo.
