This week, <a href="http://www.nrn.com/technology/new-app-rates-restaurant-noise-levels?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-new-app-rates-restaurant-noise-levels-2705429" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News</a> announced the launch of&nbsp;<a href="http://www.ihearu.co/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-new-app-rates-restaurant-noise-levels-2705429" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">iHEARu</a>, an app created to address the growing noise levels in restaurants. A 2015 <a href="https://www.zagat.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-new-app-rates-restaurant-noise-levels-2705429" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">Zagat</a> survey inspired the app. The survey found that noise levels in restaurants were a top complaint from diners. 

&ldquo;Not all noise is bad,&rdquo; said Kelly Tremblay, founder and CEO of Lend An Ear, a Seattle-based organization behind the iHEARu app. &ldquo;Noise is not just a thumbs-down or thumbs-up feature. Any establishment will be loud at some point. What&rsquo;s special about the app is it gives a breakdown about time spent and [noise levels] down to half-hour increments.&rdquo;

Once the app collects more data, it could be used to search for conversation-friendly restaurants or determine the best time to visit to&nbsp;dine during&nbsp;a quieter time in the day. &nbsp;
