Nation's Restaurant News: Pizza Hut passes 9,000 units abroad with Mumbai opening

The location is one of more than 300 Pizza Hut restaurants within India alone.

Pizza Hut's newest opening marks a large milestone in the brand's expansion. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, the company has officially surpassed 9,000 international units. The Mumbai location offers both dine-in and delivery options.

“Pizza Hut has grown stronger in India over the last 20 years, and we believe our digital-centric delivery and contemporary, open kitchen restaurants will build the next generation of pizza lovers to further reinforce Pizza Hut as the most loved and trusted food service brands in India,” said managing director Unnat Varma.

The brand delivered free pizza to 9,000 customers to mark the occasion. In order to tie into local culture, Pizza Hut worked with Mumbai's dabbawalas to complete these deliveries. The location is one of more than 300 Pizza Hut restaurants within India alone.
