According to a <a href="http://www.nrn.com/finance/pizza-hut-warns-website-app-hacked?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-pizza-hut-warns-that-website-app-hacked-2704612" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">recent Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News article</a>, Pizza Hut announced that 60,000 customers may have had their personal information compromised during the weekend due to a &ldquo;third-party security intrusion.&rdquo; Yum! Brands sent an email out to customers on Saturday warning of the hack to its website and mobile app during a 28-hour period prior. Names, billing zip codes, delivery addresses, email address and payment card information are all types of data that may have been compromised.

&ldquo;We take the information security of our customers very seriously and invest in resources to protect the customer information in our care,&rdquo; said Pizza Hut.&nbsp;&ldquo;We value the trust our customers place in us, regret that this happened, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.&rdquo;

The brand has offered free credit monitoring will Kroll Information Assurance LLC for a year for those who register before January 11 and has warned customers to be on the lookout for scams because of the hack.
