Nation's Restaurant News & Restaurant Hospitality: MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes Implementing Strategies to Combat COVID-19 Sales Dips and Support Franchise Owners Across the U.S

The Plano, Texas-based better-burger franchise is rising to the occasion by meeting consumer demands and thriving during the coronavirus pandemic.

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes President Tony Darden recently spoke with Nation’s Restaurant News and Restaurant Hospitality about the brand’s major initiatives during his first year as president, including efforts to drive sales during COVID-19, for restaurants in the Dallas Fort Worth market and across the nation.

According to the podcast and article, MOOYAH supported Franchise Owners when restaurant closures first began by reimbursing their delivery fees so that all locations could offer free delivery. That measure proved so successful at keeping orders coming in that many Franchise Owners have extended the offer for weeks as COVID-19 continued to impact the nation.

The brand also offered essential grocery items, such as potato and multigrain buns, whole Idaho potatoes and 2 lb. packs of raw Certified Angus Beef®, to relieve the burden on grocery stores and ensure that Guests have properly stocked kitchens. In addition, MOOYAH rolled out the deepest discounts they have ever offered through their rewards app and included coupons for free fries in orders to encourage repeat business.

“I firmly believe that the way that consumers are using restaurants right now is going to continue once we get to the other side of this pandemic,” said Darden.
