This week, <a href="http://www.subway.com/en-us/ownafranchise?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-subway-names-new-director-of-global-operations-2705345" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">Subway</a> announced that former director of franchise services, Tracy Steinwand, will take over as the company&#39;s director of global operations. A recent article in <a href="http://www.nrn.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-subway-names-new-director-of-global-operations-2705345" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News</a> notes that Steinwand will oversee the brand&rsquo;s new <a href="http://www.nrn.com/marketing/subway-unveils-fresh-forward-redesign?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-subway-names-new-director-of-global-operations-2705345" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line: none;" target="_blank">Fresh Forward design</a> revamp and continue to lead the learning-and-development team.

&ldquo;We are proud of the momentum we have seen in transforming the restaurant experience, and operational initiatives like the Fresh Forward design have been critical to that effort,&rdquo; said Suzanne Greco, Subway president and CEO, in a statement cited by Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News. &ldquo;We are excited to promote Tracy as our global operations director to continue to build on that success and to deliver new strategies that will redefine the restaurant environment across the globe.&rdquo;

Subway currently has 44,000 locations worldwide, serving seven million made-to-order sandwiches a day.
