Nation’s Restaurant News: The Power List 2018: The 50 most influential people in foodservice

For the fifth year in a row, Nation's Restaurant News created a list that outlines the faces that are changing the game in foodservice. “The $800 billion restaurant industry is still a place where a dishwasher can eventually become a CEO. It’s an industry built on business savvy and grit,” said Jenna Telesca, Editor-in-Chief of Nation’s Restaurant News. And that’s exactly why the industry is so exciting.

This year, three out of the top ten industry leaders were in the franchising space. McDonald’s, Subway and Dominos are featured as seasoned foodservice experts, Denny’s and KFC followed up as Evolvers in the category, while Smoothie King received a shout out as One to Watch.

These franchisors and more are setting trends for the future of foodservice, and 1851 will be following along to see where the industry moves in the months and years ahead.
