<a href="https://www.wendys.com/franchising?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-wendys-packs-punch-into-smaller-unit-2706187" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Wendy&#39;s </a>is rolling out a smaller model of their current restaurants which will feature bold curb appeal and modern decor throughout.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.nrn.com/quick-service/wendys-packs-punch-smaller-unit?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=nations-restaurant-news-wendys-packs-punch-into-smaller-unit-2706187" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Nation&#39;s Restaurant News noted</a>&nbsp;that The Smart 55 design will take up a quarter to a half of an acre, as opposed to the previous one&nbsp;acre needed for older models.&nbsp;

According to a company spokesperson,&nbsp;the new &ldquo;Smart Design Platform&rdquo; costs about $300,000 less than the company&rsquo;s standard building&nbsp;and will cover about 2,600 square feet and seat between 56 and 58 indoors. The new models also&nbsp;features&nbsp;the franchise&#39;s Smart Design 2.0 which highlights energy&nbsp;efficiency&nbsp;and touts an additional savings of $150,000.&nbsp;

The Smart 55 model is the most recent in-store enhancement&nbsp;the franchise has made to enhance&nbsp;in-store presence . At the end of 2017, 43 percent of the global system had been&nbsp;reimaged&nbsp;with the new look and feel.&nbsp;
