Nation's Restaurant News: Wingstop 1Q U.S. sales up 9.5 percent

The brand is confident that this strong start is just the beginning of its success in 2018.

Wingstop has reported a successful first quarter. According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, the brand shared that same-store sales increased by nearly ten percent in this time period. The company celebrated the opening of 24 locations both domestically and internationally.

“We remain focused on executing against our four growth strategies: building awareness of the Wingstop brand; innovating across our technological platforms; optimizing delivery in our three test markets as we build a foundation for a national delivery rollout and developing Wingstop internationally,” said CEO Charlie Morrison.

Despite this increase, the brand reported that overall net income was down by 1.4% in Q1. However, Wingstop remains confident that it is off to a strong start for 2018.
