New CEOs Announced for Johnny Rockets & Friendly's

Both brands have announced new leadership, who will step into their respective roles on October 1st.

Johnny Rockets and Friendly’s have announced that CEO John Maguire is leaving his role.  According to a recent article in Nation's Restaurant News, the positions will be filled beginning on October 1st at each company. For Friendly’s, former Boston Market CEO George Michel will fill an interim role. Johnny Rockets has announced that its current president will take over.

Maguire led Friendly’s for six years and Johnny Rockets for two. Though the exact position has not been disclosed, both brands have expressed that Maguire is moving on to another opportunity.

Over the past year, I have come to appreciate the universal appeal that this brand enjoys around the world, and I’m truly excited to partner with this team to build an even stronger relationship with our customers and our franchisees,” said Nolan.
