The brand is specifically targeting the cities of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Tucson for immediate expansion plans.“We believe there are a number of communities in Arizona that are perfect for our model to grow at a tremendous pace,” said Inger Ellen Nicolaisen, founder of Nikita Hair. “Now that we’ve seen our brand take off in different markets throughout the United States, we see it important to keep growing and capitalize on the hard work that our existing franchisees have paved the way for,” she said.Nikita Hair has made a name for itself in the beauty industry by offering high-end, comprehensive hair treatments plus waxing and eyebrow services. The brand established its first location in 1984, and each unit since has followed a business model geared towards making every client look and feel their best.Since arriving in the U.S., Nikita Hair has inked franchise agreements in Ohio, South Carolina and Texas, and the brand’s development team believes its expansion into Arizona will pave the way for further westward expansion.“Arizona has shown an increased need for the kind of service we provide.” Nicolaisen said, pointing to the state’s 10% population growth over the past decade. “There’s a lot of hot temperature in Arizona, too, and that can create a huge need for some serious hair salon business,” she added.Earlier this year, <a href="https://1851franchise.com/nikitahair/nikita-hair-is-expanding-despite-corona-virus-2713851#brand-latest-stories">Nicolaisen spoke to 1851</a> about how the hair salon industry has bounced back in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. “The hairdressing profession has gained a higher status,” she said. The demand for Nikita Hair’s service has picked up at a fast pace as people have been able to gather in salons once again.Nicolaisen says the brand’s service is one that has, and will continue, to stand the test of time. “During the pandemic, people were really made aware of how important an experienced stylist can be,” she said. “Now that we’ve been able to make a name for ourselves in the U.S., we feel our model is proven and ready to take on new opportunities.”The total investment necessary to begin operation of a Nikita Hair Salon ranges from $184,500 to $298,300. This includes $51,500 to $53,500 which must be paid to the franchisor or affiliate prior to opening.&nbsp;The total investment necessary to operate multiple Salons under our form of area development agreement depends on the number of franchises we award you the right to develop. By way of example, the total investment necessary to enter into a development agreement for the right to develop three (3) Salons is $220,500 to $334,300, which includes (i) a $79,500 development fee that is paid to us, and (ii) the total estimated initial investment to open and commence operations of your initial franchised Salon.
