The ad world is all about fast paced, frenetic adaptation and while things don&#8217;t necessarily move as fast pitching the media, that ability to rethink on the fly and roll with the proverbial punches has helped tremendously when it comes to finding and capitalizing on the best stories for our clients.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>NLA:</strong> What has NLA provided to help in your development and success in the role?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>AS: </strong>The two most important things: training and flexibility. Starting at NLA was a whirlwind, but I never felt like I was thrown into the fire. By the time I was on my own pitching the media, I had been thoroughly trained not only to do my job, but also cross-trained for just about every job in the company.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1">On top of that, my role here has never felt set in stone and I have been granted the opportunity to expand into parts of the job I felt were better suited to my skillset.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>NLA:</strong> What type of people do you think are most cut out to find success in the model and with the expectations of the role?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>AS: </strong>I think more than anything you need thick skin. The reality of this business means the odds are never really in your favor; we are always going to hear more &#8220;no&#8217;s&#8221; than &#8220;yes&#8217;s&#8221;. I believe it is the person who can not only withstand the rejection, but actually harness and use it as fuel for the next pitch that is most cut out for the high expectations and high frequency of pitching we do at No Limit.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>NLA: </strong>Are there any elements of the job you feel provide personal value to you? What gets you excited about coming to work?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"></div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>AS: </strong>I have worked in big agencies and smaller firms, so I have seen the full range of perks, from unlimited beer and Golden Tee to free food and invites to swanky parties. And though the perks at No Limit are excellent (I mean, how many people can say they are the top ranked ping pong player in their company?), getting excited to come into work has to start with the job itself. The challenges and changes are never-ending, and absolutely no day at NLA starts or ends the same. At the end of the day, what I love most is the freedom I get to just get the job done. If a pitch isn&#8217;t working, it&#8217;s my job to find a way to make the story work, and that brings me the most value when I see that hard work and creativity pay off with a big story that makes a client feel important.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"></div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>NLA: </strong>What are the challenges? Where does the stress or challenge come from - and what have you done to overcome these challenges?</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div id="pastingspan1"> </div><div id="pastingspan1"><strong>AS:</strong> The expectations at NLA are sky-high, and the pressure of the job is both internal and external. While the day-to-day goals from above are never overwhelming, what pushes and stresses me the most are my own expectations to give wins to our clients coupled with the incredible level of energy and success the rest of the team achieves on a daily basis.
