Graduation is an eerie time in any young twenty-something’s life. It marks the point where small talk consists of expectations and doubt, a combination of societal pressures and family persistence. It is a unique moment that balances the end, the beginning and everything in between. But what nobody tells you - graduation will be the most exhilarating period in your life.

To preface this story – my name is Davia Sobelman. I am a soon to be graduate from DePaul University, which is nestled in the fast-paced, wondrous windy city of Chicago. As the end of one chapter of my life rapidly approaches, as any undergraduate would, I have set out to bolster my exposure to the professional world. In doing so, I hope to strengthen my developing skill set so that I can further pursue my eventual career.

Approaching No Limit Agency (NLA) on my first day, I was wide-eyed, hesitant and felt my heart beating out of my chest. Entering the professional world is like entering something larger than anything you anticipated. It’s dragging yourself in the most zombie-like way to the CTA platform, spilling hot coffee and hoping it didn’t get on the person next to you, and simultaneously avoiding the bird soaring straight at your head as you step off the train. What a time!

My itinerary on that first day included, ‘individually meeting every member in the office.’ So here I was an over-enthused intern and soon-to-be graduate trying to figure out the complex and ever changing world of public relations in a new and unfamiliar environment. No big deal, right?

And it wasn’t. It wasn’t a big deal at all because everyone was so undoubtedly friendly to the young intern who walked into NLA that day. Almost instantaneously, it felt comfortable. It was the atmosphere that sold me; the inclusive workspace, the uplifting team, the Ping-Pong table. While I was overlooking Millennium Park, I found myself confident that here I will be able to explore something new and walk away knowing a thousand times more than what I knew before.

But what I enjoy most here at the agency is the storytelling.

It is coworkers mingling over lunch, sharing stories of the weekend or building relationships with their clients. It is the continuous story of No Limit Agency, challenging itself to become better than what it was the day before. It is the story of my internship experience with the team and realizing how much more I have to learn.

And there truly are No Limits.
