Visitors out for a holiday adventure today in NYC&rsquo;s Times Square may just find themselves the recipients of a complimentary grilled cheese thanks to Kraft, according to an article in <a href="https://adage.com/creativity/work/kraft-emergency-grilled-cheese/965771?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=ooey-gooey-goodness-kraft-hands-out-emergency-grilled-cheeses-in-times-square-2708736" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Ad Age</a>. 

In an effort to stave off hunger-fueled tantrums from kids accompanying caretakers on last-minute shopping trips, the food and beverage company opted to hand out everyone&rsquo;s favorite hot sandwich.

&ldquo;It&rsquo;s a new way for Kraft to promote its Kraft American Singles,&rdquo; the article said. &ldquo;For parents, it&rsquo;s a way to avoid trying to soothe a child&rsquo;s hangry-ness by ordering food from an overpriced-maybe-not-great-but-you&rsquo;ll-take-it-because-it&rsquo;s-nearby restaurant,&rdquo; according to the article.

&ldquo;To get the sandwiches, parents need to text CHZ to 797979 with their name, location, and the number of grilled cheese sandwiches needed,&rdquo; the article said.

The offer is only available Thursday, Dec. 20 for visitors between Broadway, 7th Avenue, 42nd and 47th Streets, and runs from noon until 6 p.m.&nbsp;
