Orlando Sentinel: McDonald’s Wants to Cater Your Breakfast in Orlando

The franchise brand is testing the new offering at 195 locations in Central Florida.

First, it was all-day breakfast. Now, McDonald’s is trying to compete with Panera Bread and Dunkin’ Donuts by testing out breakfast catering. As noted in the the Orlando Sentinel, McDonald’s is testing this program in Central Florida, with catering being made available at all 195 locations in the region during breakfast service hours. The service is using Uber Eats for delivery, and offers its entire breakfast menu in packages made to serve six, eight or 12 people.

In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, McDonald’s franchisee Sue Martin said, “You would be surprised how many big orders we get for teachers breakfasts or meetings. This is just putting it into an easier package.”
