The merger brings Bottle & Bottega founder Nancy Bigley on as Painting with a Twist’s new COO
Paint-and-sip franchise Painting with a Twist has acquired 20-unit art and wine concept Bottle & Bottega, the brand announced. The merger, which is the first ever in the DIY art industry, will bolster Painting with a Twist’s 300-plus unit presence in 39 states and help the brand pursue its key growth markets of Chicago, Portland, Oregon and northern California.
To ensure a smooth transition through the acquisition, Painting with a Twist has hired Bottle & Bottega co-founder and CEO Nancy Bigley as its new chief operations officer. Bigley has previous franchise industry experience working with Dunkin' Brands, American Leak Detection and The Dwyer Group.
"It was important for us to consolidate with a partner that recognizes our deep commitment to the DIY art sector," Painting with a Twist CEO Joe Lewis said. "Bottle & Bottega shares this responsibility as an original pacesetter in the category with a strong record of consistent growth and innovative services. Together, we plan to amplify our strengths throughout the franchise system to best position us for long-term prosperity and continued delivery of an unparalleled experience to our guests."
