After seeing slow same-store growth in&nbsp;this year&rsquo;s third quarter in North American stores, Papa John&rsquo;s International Inc. has lowered its forecast this year. According to a <a href="http://www.nrn.com/finance/papa-john-s-lowers-same-store-sales-outlook?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=papa-johns-lowers-same-store-sales-outlook-2704727" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">recent Nation&rsquo;s Restaurant News article</a>, the company is now expecting same-store sales to increase by 1.5 percent in North America, which is down from the previously announced range of 2 to 4 percent. Expected earnings growth this year was also reduced to 3 to 7 percent.

While North American stores saw a same-store sales decrease, international markets saw a 5.3 percent increase and in addition, revenue and net income this quarter rose. Papa John&rsquo;s currently operates 5,101 locations globally, with 3,441 stores in North America.
