Papa John's Will Soon Serve Chicken and Waffles Pizza
The foodie favorite gets a pizza version, to be rolled out in 2019.
The votes are in after a multiple choice survey conducted by no-stranger-to-headlines pizza brand Papa John’s. According to an article in Business Insider, , the pizza chain asked fans to vote on one of four possible pizzas, the winner of which is slated to be rolled out later this year. The winner? “Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles,” according to the article.
According to the article, the four choices for the survey conducted earlier this month included “Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles, Huevos Rancheros, and The Roast, which featured pulled pork, bacon, and chili hoisin BBQ sauce.” Additionally, Papa John's “teased the ‘Un-Pizza,’ which the chain described as pizza toppings without any doughy base,” the article said.
Chicken & Waffles won, “with more than 70% of the final vote,” according to the article.
Papa John’s hasn’t yet announced when consumers can expect to see the newest item on the menu.
