Papa John's Announces National Partnership With DoorDash

The agreement makes Papa John's the first major pizza chain to work extensively with a third-party delivery service.

Instead of implementing a strategy to combat the rise of third-party delivery companies like its rival Domino’s, Papa John’s has chosen to embrace the shift in the industry.

The brand recently announced a national partnership with DoorDash, becoming the first major pizza chain to begin working extensively with a third-party delivery service. A recent Restaurant Business article explained that Papa John’s and DoorDash have been working together for months already as the pizza chain looks to further increase its digital sales, and this agreement simply solidifies the partnership.

To kick things off nationally this weekend, DoorDash users will be offered free delivery on any Papa John’s order over $10. “This partnership extends our continued commitment to meet customers wherever they are and provide simple, easy ordering for guests,” Papa John’s SVP of customer experience Anne Fischer said in a statement included in the article.
