As they continue to expand in markets across the U.S., Paris Baguette, the global bakery café franchise with over 4,000 locations around the world, has recently opened their doors in Herndon, Virginia. For franchisee Alma Causevic Siddiqui, the franchise fulfilled a decade-long dream of owning a neighborhood bakery café. 

After working in the construction industry for over 10 years, Siddiqui wanted to explore her passion for baking. She and her husband Farooq were in Chicago last summer when they decided to get breakfast at a Paris Baguette café.

“We liked all the products, from coffee to all the pastries,” she said. “I kept going every day. I was there for three or four days. We liked it so much that we got in touch with Paris Baguette’s corporate office and we started talking.”

During the franchise process, Siddiqui noted that she enjoyed having the opportunity to travel to Paris Baguette’s corporate headquarters in New Jersey to learn how to decorate and bake the pastries and cakes they would be selling.

The opening brings a range of French-inspired freshly baked pastries, salads, sandwiches and Lavazza coffee for takeout or dine in. The café is located in Arrowbrook Centre, south of the Dulles Toll Road, and is open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
