Pollo Campero Sets Sights on Arizona as First Stop on Its U.S. Chicken Takeover
The chicken franchise known for flavor, quality and value is looking to open 12 restaurants in the Grand Canyon State by 2026.

Pollo Campero, the iconic chicken franchise with 50-years of proven success, is poised to rapidly expand across the nation as consumer demand for wholesome food continues to rise and is targeting Arizona for its next flavorful takeover. The brand plans to add 12 new locations in the state in the next five years.
Pollo Campero currently has more than 270 locations worldwide and 80-plus locations in markets across the U.S., including California, Nevada, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, New Jersey, New York and many others and is ready to take its expansion efforts to the next level. The brand is hoping to open its first location in Arizona next year.
“We are looking for franchisees who want to open multiple stores in the Phoenix area,” said Luis Javier Rodas, Managing Director & COO for the brand. “Our leadership team will be with them every step of the way, so franchisees looking to grow in this area not only have a massive opportunity to take advantage of a prime market, but they will also have a huge support system and a loyal customer base.”
According to U.S. Census Data, Phoenix was the fastest-growing big city in the United States between 2010 and 2020, and growth across the Phoenix metro area drove up Maricopa County's population by nearly 16%, making the “Valley of the Sun” a lucrative choice for a business opportunity.
“We chose to target Phoenix because it fits our target demographics and has a strong economy,” said Allyn Taylor, Director of Real Estate and Construction for Pollo Campero. “We feel that Phoenix will be a great addition to our Pollo family, with more and more people moving into the city, our unique flavors will definitely gain a loyal following.”
Looking ahead to 2022 and beyond, the brand is eyeing expansion across other major markets in addition to Phoenix, including Atlanta, Georgia and Florida.
The brand, which is focused on fresh, made-in-house ingredients and unique flavors, checks all the boxes to remain a top choice in the chicken category. Pollo Campero has already established a loyal customer base through its delicious offerings and dedication to exceptional customer service, setting incoming franchisees up for success
