Pollo Campero to Come to Raleigh with Growth Plan Throughout North Carolina
Andi Valentino Investments Inc. is opening its third Pollo Campero in October.
Andi Valentino Investments Inc. has opened Raleigh’s first Pollo Campero, the world's largest Latin American chicken franchise, with 83 U.S. locations and another 270 worldwide.
The new restaurant opened its doors at 8300 Litchford Road, Raleigh, North Carolina, on October 18 and had a grand opening celebration on October 27th. It will give locals a chance to discover why the fast-growing chicken chain, which began as a family-owned Guatemalan restaurant, has become so popular in markets across the country.
Andi Valentino Investments Inc. signed to open six total locations in North Carolina so far and has already opened two locations in Charlotte. Each location will bring 40-60 plus jobs to the community. After two very successful launches, the company is now looking to expand to additional locations.
“There is a huge demand for a restaurant like Pollo Campero in the Raleigh area,” said Mauricio Blanco, Vice President of Andi Valentino Investments Inc. “There are a lot of people in the area who are Guatemalan and Salvadorian. It’s very exciting to bring a brand that they might have been familiar with in their home country to them here. We love the idea that we can connect Central America to North Carolina.”
After earning record U.S. sales throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Pollo Campero has launched a new strategy to reach 250 restaurants across the U.S. over the next five years, making it one of the dominant players in the $38 billion fast food chicken franchise segment. As it embarks on this ambitious expansion effort, the brand is leveraging a proven business model, loyal fanbase and experienced leadership team to attract multi-unit, multi-brand franchisees in markets around the country, starting with South Carolina, Louisiana, Arizona, North Florida and Utah.
Pollo Campero’s new Raleigh location is the latest addition to the fast-growing franchise brand’s roster of thriving restaurants in North Carolina, including in Charlotte and Durham. The state is a leading target market for the brand thanks to its flourishing economic landscape, unmet demand among both legacy consumers and new fans, and wide open territory availability. Pollo Campero aims to create around 40 jobs per location for the local community.
“We’ve had many years of success abroad, and this success has set the stage for U.S. investors to want to bring a tried-and-true brand to their market,” said Blas Escarcega, Pollo Campero’s Director of Franchise Development.
Escarcega says Andi Valentino Investments Inc. is well-equipped to represent the brand in Raleigh.
“We are always looking for passionate leaders with strong ties in their communities to join our family,” he said. “Andi Valentino Investments knows exactly what makes Pollo Campero so special, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them introduce the brand to diners who haven’t tried us yet. We know they are going to find fantastic success in Raleigh.”
