The 44th annual Franchise 500 highlights the unprecedented challenges faced over the last several years and the resilience of the franchises. Brands are recognized for their outstanding performance in areas including financial strength and stability, unit growth and brand power.&nbsp;“The past year underscores the extraordinary opportunities that the franchise industry presents for entrepreneurs of all levels,” said Jason Feifer,&nbsp;Entrepreneur Editor-in-Chief. “The companies named to our 44th annual Franchise 500 list represent some of the most innovative, creative and trusted brands across many industries and highlight what it takes to build the kind of momentum that drives long-lasting success.”Those selected to be on the coveted list were evaluated for factors such as costs and fees, franchisee support, size and growth, brand strength and financial strength and stability. A total of 1,321 brands applied for this year’s Franchise 500 list, representing a worldwide total of 646,484 units open and operating as of July 31, 2022. However, the companies that made the Franchise 500 ranking only represented 590,971 of those units.Pool Scouts’ recognition on the Franchise 500 list comes after a great year of franchise development and growth for the brand. The 115-territory pool cleaning franchise, which operates under parent franchisor&nbsp;<a href="https://buzzfranchisebrands.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=pool-scouts-ranks-490th-on-entrepreneurs-2023-franchise-500-2721075" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Buzz Franchise Brands</a>, enters 2023 with 17 new franchisees in 25 territories, as well as an impressive net promoter score of 80 across the system. Pool Scouts also entered several new states in 2022 including Michigan, Idaho and Illinois.&nbsp;“The past couple of years have been incredibly robust from a pool construction standpoint across the country,” said Michael Wagner, president of Pool Scouts. “Lots of new pools have been built, and they need us to take care of them. So, we expect customer acquisition to continue to be robust, and we're very much looking forward to that.
