Potbelly Taps Industry Veteran for VP of Franchise Development Role

Potbelly Sandwich Shop has named industry veteran Peter Ortiz as its new vice president of franchise development, according to a Fast Casual report.

Ortiz has previous franchise development experience for brands such as Moe’s Southwest Grill and Carvel, according to the article.

"Peter's impressive track record puts us in a strong position to leverage his skills to lead our most aggressive franchise growth strategy to date," Potbelly senior vice president of development Jeff Welch said in a press release, according to the article. "His understanding of the restaurant franchising space and demonstrated ability to develop and execute franchise sales strategies will be integral as we set our sights on continued growth in 2019 and beyond."
