Property Damage Appraisers Featured in “Crane Hot Line” for Expanding Same-Day Service to Include Specialty and Heavy Equipment

In the spring of 2020, Property Damage Appraisers (PDA) announced that they are expanding their same-day service to offer estimates on construction cranes within a day of a claim being assigned. With the announcement around the new expansion, PDA Vice President of Products and Services Matt Pietrowicz spoked with “Crane Hot Line,” a publication dedicated to construction businesses looking to purchase used cranes, about why their services are so necessary to owners of heavy equipment including construction cranes.

“We specially train the agents who do estimates of heavy equipment so that they understand the equipment, how it’s used and what’s important to know in making accurate estimates,” said Pietrowicz.

Pietrowicz went on to explain that PDA trains their appraisers by requiring them to attend a speciality school that includes coursework and hands-on examination of heavy equipment. PDA now offers this service to minimize the amount of time and money lost from when equipment is damaged and when the damage is appraised to get the repair process started faster to get people back to business.
