As the demand for hearty and eco-friendly plant-based options <a href="https://1851franchise.com/online-petition-urging-mcdonald-s-to-offer-meatless-burger-nears-200-000-signatures-2709697" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">heats up</a> in the fast-food and fast-casual spaces, QDOBA Mexican Eats has announced that it will add the meatless Impossible&trade; to its menu in 730 restaurants across the country starting May 28, according to the <a href="https://www.apnews.com/Business%20Wire/777b229de909420498a9f304b33f12ae?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=qdoba-will-offer-plant-based-protein-option-nationwide-starting-may-28-2709712" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Associated Press</a>. The nationwide rollout follows a successful test in Michigan and will come after a first-phase rollout in select Brooklyn, Denver and Los Angeles QDOBA locations beginning April 23. 

The taste and preparation of Impossible&trade; is meant to mimic beef. QDOBA plans to season the protein in-house with a blend of tomatoes, garlic, smoked chiles, paprika and red onions. The franchise will offer an Impossible Bowl with cilantro-lime white rice and black beans layered with three-cheese queso, pico de gallo and guacamole, and an Impossible Taco with red onions, cilantro and salsa verde wrapped in a corn tortilla.
