Lenny’s Subs is undergoing some exciting changes, including a new look to its restaurant and menu. One company-owned store has already undergone a renovation in Memphis, Tenn., which includes a new color palette featuring cool grays, reds and blues, rather than its previous muted beiges and taupe. Corrugated metal details, faux wood floors, and concrete are also featured, giving the space a modern flare.

“Families coming in for dinner—we want them to have a great atmosphere to enjoy their dinner,” Lenny’s president and chief operating officer Jason Vaughn said.

Lenny’s plans to have all 112 locations throughout the South remodeled by the end of 2015 or early 2016. The first franchise unit featuring the new design will open in San Antonio, Tex., this fall.

The brand is also testing out an extended menu of its best-selling Philly cheesesteaks while also looking to add new items for Millennials and health-conscious customers. Some forthcoming items include a veggie Philly, a chicken parmesan sandwich and more.

“What we’re not about … is trying a lot of different things and just seeing what sticks. We feel very confident in who we are,” Vaughn said. “What we want to do is do what we do and do it really well.”
