McDonald’s is on the rebound and its focus is the customer.

The fast food chain announced strong first quarter results and things are looking up. McDonald’s reported that its sales increased 1.7 percent in its U.S. market and global sales rose 4 percent. Its first quarter performance benefited from changes to its menu such as all-day breakfast and the promotion of the “Grand Mac” and “Mac Jr.”

"Our efforts to build a better McDonald's are yielding meaningful results with continued positive momentum and a strong start to 2017 that includes positive comparable sales across all segments, higher global guest counts and enhanced profitability," said McDonald's president and chief executive officer Steve Easterbrook.
