According to&nbsp;<a href="https://bit.ly/2M2kdCE?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=qsr-magazine-booming-us-doughnut-franchise-to-expand-overseas-2706727" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="color:rgb(17, 85, 204)" target="_blank">a recent article in QSR Magazine</a>, the brand&#39;s recent multi-unit franchise agreement is part of an international growth push. The deal was signed with&nbsp;OBX Alimentos SpA and the first location is set to open in the fall.

&ldquo;Doughnuts are not a staple of Chilean cuisine, but I was very surprised to see that Dunkin&rsquo; had gone from five to seven stores 15 years ago to over 80 in Chile now. I realized doughnuts were going on now, and even at local supermarkets doughnuts were being sold,&rdquo; said Marcial Dieguez-Acuna, CEO of&nbsp;OBX Alimentos SpA.

The franchise traces its roots back to North Carolina. To date, the brand has locations either in operation or development across 23 states.&nbsp;
