Delivery
This is a trend that started to make waves in 2016 but will continue to explode this year. As food delivery specialists emerge and the limited-service industry become “uberized,” this service will continue to expand with more options for customers to choose from.
Bowls
Whether it’s a bowl full of salad, grains, protein or veggies, 2017 will be the year of the bowl according to Melissa Abbott, vice president of culinary insights at The Hartman Group. “Bowls are all about seeing things made right in front of you,” Abbott says.
Tech
The tech world will collide with delivery, ordering and takeout services to improve service for customers this year. Fast food companies are not being left behind when it comes to innovation.
