Burger King is hoping to make getting fired a little better for those who publicly announce it. According to a <a href="https://www.qsrmagazine.com/news/fired-recently-burger-king-will-give-you-free-whopper?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=qsr-magazine-fired-recently-burger-king-will-give-you-a-free-whopper-2703916" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">recent QSR Magazine article</a>, the brand unveiled its &lsquo;Whopper Severance&rdquo; promotion for one of life&rsquo;s difficult moments.

Those who take to LinkedIn and post &ldquo;I got fired. I want a free Whopper. #WhopperSeverance,&rdquo; will receive a link and a chance to enter to win the package. Only the first 2,500 people to post from Tuesday to Friday will receive the Whopper Severance letter and Burger King gift card. A lucky 100 people will also receive a one-on-one session with The Muse, and online career resource center.

&ldquo;It has been said, that when one door closes another one opens&mdash;in this case, a door for a delicious flame grilled Whopper sandwich,&rdquo; said Burger King in a statement.
