QSR Magazine: Taco Bell to Serve Alcohol at Hundreds of New Locations

Taco Bell is planning to open over 300 new Cantina restaurants in the next five years.

Taco Bell is planning to open over 300 new Cantina restaurants in the next five years. According to a recent article in QSR Magazine, these locations will all offer alcohol in addition to the brand's usual menu items.

The Cantina restaurants will serve sangria, wine, beer and boozy smoothies to patrons. The concept was originally introduced back in 2015 in Chicago and San Francisco to target millennial customers. New openings are planned for New York City, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Boston.

“One of the cool things happening in America right now is the revitalization of urban areas, and we’re seeing millennials moving into downtown areas,” said Taco Bell chief operating officer, Mike Grams.
