With the popularity of bone broth and juicing, experts say clean menus are more important than ever.

QSR Magazine recently highlighted the current health trend: detoxing. As juice cleanses maintain their popularity with consumers and bone broth continues its steady rise, experts in the space say this cleansing lifestyle is here to stay.
“Cleanses and detoxes relate to contemporary consumer understandings of wellness involving the proactive management of health conditions for holistic wellness aims,” wrote David Wright, senior marketing manager at the Hartman Group. “Specialized dietary approaches like detoxes and cleanses are used not only in a quest for wellness, energy, and weight management … [but also] as a way for consumers to experiment.”
This trend suggests that consumers will continue to focus on health and wellness and restaurants need to adapt. Although getting into the juice cleanse business has high overhead, restaurants can consider adding healthier menu options to keep up with changing palettes.
