From these conversations, QSR sites the following as the best practices to prevent turnover and keep employees engaged.

Leverage the information and expertise your front-of-the-line employees are gathering. Allowing employees to brainstorm helps them to feel that they&rsquo;re part of the business, and therefore, care more in the long run.

Employees shouldn&rsquo;t stop learning after their initial training period ends. To keep employees engaged, they need to be constantly challenged in constructive ways. For your more talented employees, QSR suggests giving them more ambitious goals to 1) motivate them and 2) level the playing field for some of your slower-learning employees.

According to QSR, a lot of employee dissatisfaction come from not feeling they have the ability to climb the ladder. Promoting an employee because of their seniority, rather than an employee who has the necessary abilities to manage, can cause disengagement and frustration among staff. &nbsp;
