Realtor.com: Renovation Sells CEO Discusses Why Farmhouse Sinks Aren't as Cool as You Think

In a recent interview with Realtor.com, Michael Valente, CEO of Renovation Sells, discusses the positives and negatives of having a farmhouse sink. Many people are eager to add the appliance into their homes because of celebrity influence; however, these sinks do not always work as well as expected. For instance, according to Valente, they are extremely expensive and hard to install.

“In general, these sinks are two to three times more expensive than a stainless-steel, under-mount sink,” said Valente.

Ultimately, Valente advises homeowners to stay away from installing a farmhouse sink due to all of the issues that come with it. The installation is difficult and can only be done by specific contractors.
