Excellent service helped keep restaurant sales steady during the month of June, according to a monthly report by TDn2K.

Same-store sales growth was 1.1 percent in June, and according to data gathered by TDN2K, this had much to do with the perceived level of good service customers felt they were getting.

The five restaurants that had the best service in June, according to the report, were The Capital Grille, City Barbecue, Mi Cocina, Houston’s and Eddie V’s.

“This is great news for the industry, as this is the attribute that most differentiates the restaurant brands with the highest same-store sales growth rates,” the report stated. “Much more than food, service seems to be a more significant indicator that defines a superior restaurant experience.”
