Restaurant Industry Added 33,500 Jobs in October

The economy added a total of 250,000 jobs in October.

Of the 250,000 jobs added to the U.S. economy in October, the restaurant industry added 33,500 of those jobs, according to a Restaurant Business report.

Citing new information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the article also noted that the unemployment rate stayed the same at 3.7 percent.

Over the past year, the restaurant industry hired more than 200,000 workers and restaurant and bars currently employ more than 12 million workers, according to the article.
