Currently, residents 65 and older already make up 30% of the county’s population, and many of these seniors expressed a clear preference for aging in place (rather than moving to institutional facilities).Butts spent nearly a year preparing for the launch, using the same attention to detail she honed as a federal investigator to navigate complex licensing and regulatory requirements. She spent hours researching the differences between non-medical in-home care and medical home health care to ensure she could guide families through their own moments of crisis."It was a very long, tedious process to get my license and get everything set up,” Butts told the L.A. Business Journal of her path to&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/rightathome/info">Right at Home</a> ownership. “It’s been an interesting learning experience – this is my first time owning my own business."Her background in the Navy and as an investigator now informs how she goes about hiring.
