After 13 years of thriving in the northwest corridor of Mississippi, Right at Home franchisee Will Bradham is expanding his reach into the Golden Triangle area, driven by his desire to bring the highest level of care to even more clients across the state while offering meaningful job opportunities.
When he was young, Bradham witnessed just how valuable in-home care can be as his family leveraged additional support to navigate his father’s lung cancer diagnosis. Now, his commitment to building talented teams and growing in a healthy way has made him a respected figure in Mississippi’s home care landscape, and he continues to bring the highest level of care to more families in his community.
Bradham took the time to chat with 1851 Franchise to discuss all of this and more. Here’s what he had to say:
1851 Franchise: Frame your personal story for us. What do you want us to know?
Will Bradham: I've been a Right at Home franchisee for 13 years in the northwest corridor of Mississippi. I recently expanded and acquired a second territory in the Golden Triangle area. I'm passionate about providing top-tier home care services and expanding to reach more people in Mississippi.
1851: What did you do before franchising, and how did you decide franchising made sense for you?
Bradham: Before franchising, I was a regional manager at a food distributor. I felt burned out with corporate America and wanted to do my own thing.
My father was an entrepreneur, and I always wanted to follow in his footsteps. I considered different franchise options and landed on home care, partly due to my personal experience with my father's need for in-home care when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. We had to have around-the-clock care for him before he passed, and we couldn’t have done it without in-home care.
1851: What was your perception of franchising prior to becoming a franchisee, and what do you want people to know about franchising now that you are in it?
Bradham: Before becoming a franchisee, I recognized the power of brands and how people associate quality with well-known names. Now, being in franchising, I understand the importance of support and brand recognition, especially in the home care industry where people are looking for trusted providers.
1851: What made you pick this brand? What excites you most about this company?
Bradham: I picked Right at Home because I believe in their values and morals, which align with mine. I love the feel-good nature of the business — knowing that we're making a difference in the lives of people who often don't have family nearby or don’t have regular human interaction for a range of other reasons.
1851: What do you hope to achieve with your business? What are your plans for growth?
Bradham: I want to continue expanding and providing our services to as many people as possible in Mississippi. I believe we do it better than anyone else in the state, and I want to bring our top-tier service to a wider audience.
1851: Is there anything else about your story you want us to know?
Bradham: I'm proud to be providing good-paying jobs in Mississippi, where there's a big need for that. We’re proud of that because we know the importance of vetting home care providers and not going for the cheapest option. We’ll all get to the point of needing care one day, and we’ll all want to be cared for by someone who is satisfied in and committed to their career.
1851: What advice do you have for other people thinking about becoming franchise owners?
Bradham: Do your homework, do your due diligence and make sure the franchisor's values and morals align with yours. Find people who have the same forward focus and are genuine.
