Her entry into the home care space was sparked by conversations with industry providers — including a&nbsp;<a href="https://1851franchise.com/rightathome/info">Right at Home</a> owner in Columbus — while building an in-home therapy program.“I started marketing that program and thinking, maybe I could do this,” she said. “My husband and I talked about it, our kids were grown, and we agreed it was the right time.”Holton partnered with a close friend and former colleague, who launched her own Right at Home office in Marietta, Ohio. “We each have our individual companies, but going through the process together was huge. I don’t think I could have done it without her.”Today, Holton owns two territories and is preparing to open her second office. Her deep health care background allows her to provide caregivers with specialized, hands-on training in clients’ homes — a service that’s technically non-medical, but elevated by her expertise.“Every home’s setup is different,” she said. “We focus on safety and return demonstrations to make sure caregivers are truly prepared.”Holton’s agency serves a diverse clientele, including veterans — through the VA — as well as clients using Medicaid’s Passport program and those with long-term care insurance.
