As artificial intelligence and automation continue transforming industries, RobotLAB is positioning franchise owners at the center of that shift. Rather than selling a single robotic product or serving one niche, the company has built a franchise model that helps businesses across multiple industries adopt robotics while providing the local sales, installation, maintenance and support that make automation successful.

Founded in 2007, RobotLAB spent nearly two decades building its reputation as one of the country's largest robotics integrators before launching its franchise program three years ago. Today, the company has more than 20 locations nationwide and offers franchise owners access to a portfolio of more than 50 commercial robotic solutions.

"Our customers need service, support and sales on a local basis," said CEO Elad Inbar. "We realized that the franchise model was the right growth strategy because we can partner with entrepreneurs who want to build a robotics and AI business in their own communities. They become a mini RobotLAB for their metro area."

Solving the Last-Mile Problem in Robotics

RobotLAB identified a major gap in the commercial robotics market: businesses needed local experts who could install, maintain and repair the technology after the sale. RobotLAB’s commercial robots clean hotel corridors, transport supplies through warehouses, move linens inside resorts, deliver food in restaurants and perform dozens of other repetitive tasks that businesses struggle to staff consistently.

"If a hotel buys a cleaning robot because they don't have enough employees, and the robot goes down, who's going to do the work?" Inbar said. “That's why local service changes everything. We aren't just delivering robots. We're delivering the output our customers need.”

The model follows the same basic idea as the dealership networks that made cars practical for consumers more than a century ago. Just as drivers needed nearby mechanics and service centers, businesses adopting robotics need local experts who can respond quickly when the technology becomes essential to daily operations.

Expanding Into New Commercial Use Cases

RobotLAB also continues expanding its technology portfolio as new commercial applications emerge. One of its newest additions is an autonomous commercial mowing platform capable of maintaining up to 22 acres per day for airports, golf courses, hotels and other large properties. Behind the scenes, the company is also embracing AI throughout its own operations.

“In the back of the house, we're using a lot of AI agents now to generate leads, to follow up with leads and to become more proactive when it comes to maintenance and talking to customers,” Inbar said. “We're constantly innovating. This industry is not going to rest anytime soon.”

The company works primarily with business customers, not consumers. Its robots are designed for large-scale commercial applications, including machines that can clean 100,000 square feet per day, cook meals continuously for up to 25 people in each run, clean themselves between uses and move boxes weighing up to 600 pounds.

A Different Kind of Franchise Opportunity

RobotLAB offers an opportunity unlike nearly any other franchise available today. Instead of entering a mature franchise category, owners become local leaders in an industry still in its early stages of adoption.

"AI and robotics are the hottest markets right now," Inbar said. "There isn't another robotics franchise or AI franchise like this. We are the ones disrupting industries, not the ones being disrupted. Automation is stepping into almost every industry, and we are the ones who are carrying that.”

RobotLAB has already delivered more than $120 million in robotic solutions, demonstrating that commercial automation is no longer a future concept but a rapidly expanding business category. As organizations continue searching for ways to improve productivity and address ongoing labor challenges, demand for robotics solutions is expected to accelerate across hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, health care and other commercial sectors.

Why RobotLAB Stands Out

While humanoid robots currently generate much of the public attention, Inbar believes the industry's greatest opportunity remains practical automation that solves real business problems today. As robotics capabilities continue advancing, local expertise will become increasingly valuable for companies looking to successfully implement new technologies.

"If someone is excited about the future that's happening today and wants to bring it to their community, definitely feel free to contact us," Inbar said. “We're here to help.”
