When Ruby’s Diner opened up its first location for business over 35 years ago, it set out on a simple mission to bring back the experience of a classic 1940’s diner to the American restaurant industry. Between its signature burgers, French Fries fries and milkshakes and its authentic environment and focus on exceptional customer service, there isn’t another concept out there that compares to the brand’s unique model. And now, Ruby’s Diner is reigniting the buzz surrounding its brand by engaging its loyal customers in a new way.

This fall, Ruby’s Diner is going on a Stack Attack Challenge Tour. The challenge is an eating competition where hungry fans will have the opportunity to attempt to finish a 3.5 pound burger, fries and a milkshake in just 35 minutes. The task is harder than it sounds—the burger is loaded with six eight-ounce patties, and is then topped with onion rings, cheese, guacamole, tater tots, jalapeños and bacon. But completing the challenge is definitely worth the reward. Winners will receive a certificate of completion, a $35 gift certificate to Ruby’s Diner and the brand’s exclusive Stack Attack Challenge t-shirt.

According to Stacy Lee, senior director of marketing for Ruby’s Diner, the Stack Attack Challenge is designed to celebrate not just the brand, but it’s strong relationship with consumers.

“Since the launch of our first Ruby’s Diner, we have been driven to craft the best possible dining experience for every guest that walks through our doors. As we continue to grow, that commitment of setting a higher standard when it comes to customer service is only growing stronger,” said Lee. “That is why we’re so excited about the Stack Attack Challenge Tour. The challenge provides us the opportunity to remind our guests of the fun and exciting atmosphere Ruby’s offers every guest. We have already become a loved tradition for families across the country, and this tour is a way for us to come together with those who continue to support us and celebrate what we’ve been able to accomplish together so far.”

The Stack Attack Challenge Tour is kicking off at Ruby’s Diner’s Irvine Spectrum location on Thursday, September 14 at 12 p.m. The eating contest will then make its way across eight different restaurants—following Irvine Spectrum, the tour will hit South Coast Plaza, Yorba Linda, Laguna Hills, Mission Valley, Morongo and Long Beach before ending in Irvine on Wednesday, November 1.

While the tour doesn’t officially kick off until September 14, interested participants can already register for the event online. And for fans who love Ruby’s Diner but aren’t quite ready to take on the Stack Attack Challenge just yet, the brand is promoting and documenting its tour online with the hashtag “#RubysStackAttack.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to see our customers take on the Stack Attack Challenge in eight of our thriving locations. There’s no doubt that this new way to engage our loyal fans—both in store and online—will help us enhance the excitement that already surrounds Ruby’s Diner’s one of a kind concept,” said Lee. “Even though we’ve been around for 35 years, we’re more committed to creating strong customer relationships than ever before. And we’re confident that launching this tour will take those efforts to the next level.”
