Rush Bowls, an acai bowl brand based in Denver, Colorado, will open its first international restaurant in Edmonton, Canada, according to a Fast Casual report.

The healthy eating-focused brand, which currently has nine open locations in the U.S. with 10 more on the way, has a development deal that will bring 10 restaurants into the Alberta province, according to the article.

"We are thrilled to announce our international expansion in Canada," Rush Bowls founder and CEO Andrew Pudalov said, according to the article. "Over the past 14 years, Rush Bowls has been an innovator in the healthy-eating category with our handcrafted meals and nutritious bowls. With Canada's growing focus on health and wellness, it made sense to expand there. We feel there is an incredible opportunity for growth with the Canadian Provinces and we are thrilled to begin this journey."
