PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Nearly 200 golfers, more than 150 ServiceMaster Restore and ServiceMaster Clean franchise participants and over 20 veterans gathered at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, for the fourth annual We Serve: Veterans Golf Tournament, raising more than $60,000 on-site through raffles, contests, a silent auction and a live auction benefiting Hire Heroes USA. The on-site fundraising total will be added to existing event proceeds, exceeding over $200,000, and donated to Hire Heroes USA, continuing a partnership that has become one of the nonprofit organization's most significant sources of support.
"If it wasn't for ServiceMaster Restore and Clean, we wouldn't be where we are today with the growth of our organization," said Jamie Rimphanli, lead corporate partnership manager at Hire Heroes USA. “Fundraising has been really hard across the nonprofit sector, but they've been the steady heartbeat for us to continue our work and continue to grow it. Year after year, they're always trying to push the limits, and their investment is helping expand our work so more veterans and military spouses can receive these career services for free.”
Since launching the partnership in 2023, ServiceMaster Restore and ServiceMaster Clean have raised over $1 million to help veterans and military spouses access career coaching, resume assistance, interview preparation and job search support at no cost.
Despite a rain delay after nine holes, the event delivered a memorable day of camaraderie and purpose. Guests included Florida Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, Hire Heroes USA CEO Ross Dickman and ServiceMaster Brands CEO Jon Nobis, while a helicopter flyover from the HSM-74 "Swamp Foxes" squadron based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville highlighted the day's tribute to those who have served. Special music was provided by Nashville country artist, LOCASH.
The funds raised by the event will go toward services that include personalized career coaching from professionals who understand the unique challenges of military transition. Rather than relying solely on AI tools or generic resume services, Hire Heroes USA provides one-on-one coaching that helps veterans translate military experience into civilian careers, prepare for interviews, strengthen LinkedIn profiles and develop long-term job search strategies.
"For us, ServiceMaster Restore and Clean are growing our brand," Rimphanli said. “They're activating areas of the country where we may not have had a strong presence before. Through these events, they're sharing why helping the military community still matters. Because they're telling our story, we're not only gaining donors and supporters, but also reaching veterans and military spouses who didn't even know we existed.”
The effort has grown well beyond those first two golf tournaments. ServiceMaster Restore and Clean have raised the bar each year, turning what started with modest fundraising goals into a nationwide initiative.
"They completely blew away every expectation," Rimphanli said. “That inspired their franchisees and corporate teams because they realized the work they do every day can also help the military community. Every year they expand the goal, which means more people receive help. As they grow, our capacity grows too.”
The tournament reflects ServiceMaster Restore and Clean’s long-term commitment to supporting veterans beyond a single fundraising event.
"Our franchisees, vendor partners and corporate teams continue to show what it means to serve others," said John Tovar, group president at ServiceMaster. “Raising more than $60,000 during this year's tournament is an incredible accomplishment, but what matters most is the opportunity those funds create for veterans and military spouses building their next chapter. We are proud to stand alongside Hire Heroes USA and remain committed to expanding the impact of this partnership for years to come.”
ServiceMaster Restore, ServiceMaster Clean and Hire Heroes USA continue to explore additional ways to strengthen veteran employment opportunities across the franchise network while continuing to grow the partnership's reach.
The fifth annual We Serve: Veterans Golf Tournament is scheduled for April 6, 2027, at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona.
