Shoney&rsquo;s Restaurants is now offering franchise opportunities in the state of North Carolina, according to <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/shoneys-announces-franchise-opportunities-for-aspiring-entrepreneurs-and-franchisees-in-north-carolina-300695434.html?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=shoneys-franchise-opportunities-expand-to-north-carolina-2707472" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">a press release</a>. 

The casual dining chain is located primarily throughout the South and the Midwest. A new restaurant is scheduled to open in the fall in Waynesville, North Carolina, and the chain plans to open new restaurants in &ldquo;strategic areas&rdquo; in the state, according to the press release. 

&quot;Over the past 70 years, many of our franchisees have opened restaurants, created jobs, boosted the local economy, and have done some remarkable things for their state as a whole,&quot; Shoney&rsquo;s chairman and CEO David Davoudpour said in the press release. &quot;We are looking to do the same exact thing in North Carolina.&quot;
