According to QSR Magazine, Slim Chickens has secured an equity investment from 10 Point Capital that will help the franchise grow to 600 locations in the next 10 years.
“Whether in Little Rock, Arkansas, or Central London, we found in our diligence that Slim Chickens has quickly established a loyal following in whatever market it enters,” Tom Wells, managing partner at 10 Point Capital, said in a statement. “With a strong foothold in the U.S., United Kingdom and Kuwait, Slim Chickens is poised for significant growth.”
Slim Chickens chose 10 Point Capital due to the firm’s “expertise in franchising and the shared vision for the brand,” according to CFO Seth Jensen. Today, 64 of Slim Chicken’s 84 locations are franchised. 10 Point Capital helped Tropical Smoothie Cafe grow to more than 775 stores with 130 to open just this year, according to QSR.
According to last year’s QSR 50, 600 units would position Slim Chickens as the eighth biggest chicken chain in the U.S.
