King Cake smoothies debut on <a target="null">Smoothie King&#8217;s</a> menu just in time for Carnival Season. While all of these smoothies are developed by Smoothie King&#8217;s product development team to optimize flavor, the team also has to deliver on Smoothie King&#8217;s mission to inspire guests to live a healthy and active lifestyle with products that offer benefits to help each guest reach their purpose. &#8220;Our guests have come to expect a great tasting smoothie, no matter what their purpose. King Cake has been a delicious accompaniment of the Mardi Gras tradition and the New Orleans culture. The pastry is dough rolled on top of each other, and it comes slathered with icing that&#8217;s brightly decorated by sprinkles of the Mardi Gras colors: purple, green and gold. To celebrate this confectionary delicacy, Smoothie King will be introducing two new smoothies that will be available from January 6 (King&#8217;s Day) to February 9th (Mardi Gras). King Cake &#8211; Gladiator&#174; will include the brand&#8217;s vanilla Gladiator protein powder, almond milk, banana, cinnamon and almond and vanilla extract. King Cake &#8211; Frozen Yogurt will also be available with non-fat frozen yogurt instead of the brand&#8217;s proprietary protein supplement Gladiator&#174;. Jaeger said the drinks are a fair representation of the Mardi Gras festival. &#8220;These smoothies tell the story of Mardi Gras, the King Cake and our own Gladiator&#174; protein,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Not only will these smoothies be a great option for our guests during King Cake season, but can also be incorporated into our Change A Meal Challenge which encourages guests to reach their weight loss goals during the first of the year.&#8221; The King Cake smoothies will be offered for a limited time and in select markets: Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
