Smoothie King opens 24-hour location in Baton Rouge

In February, franchisees Sean Cangelosi and Patrick Fritscher decided to open another Smoothie King location (the seventh for Cangelosi since 2001). The duo wanted their shop to stand out; as Baton Rouge has several Smoothie King locations already.

Ultimately they decided to open the franchise’s second hospital location and only 24-hour store.

The 24-hour idea originated with [Fritscher], Cangelosi told 225. His wife works in the hospital and knows daily life there, including the fact that people are often up at all hours and in need of a healthy meal option.

Smoothie King’ smoothies are made with real fruits and vegetables and customers can add vitamins as well. Patients and visitors alike will now have nutritious, customizable choices available all the time. In short, they will no longer be at the mercy of the hospital cafeteria.

Since its establishment in 1973, Smoothie King has grown to over 700 locations worldwide.
